I am making revisions. I’m not sure when I will post them.
The Tudors series, as written by Michael Hirst, is a combination of historical fact, fiction and folklore. It’s got camp, some good acting, some bad acting and sex, of course. It’s Showtime, after all. I flesh out the details as it were and give detail when none is provided. For myself I have found writing the recaps and educating myself as I go along very entertaining. At times I got a bit dry, which is why I’m doing some revising.
There was an incredible amount of upheaval and instability during King Henry the VIII’s reign. Mostly due to the advent of the reformist movement, Henry’s separation from the Church of Rome and because he was a crazy tyrannical king! With all the drama, it is with good reason that a soap opera like series was made about him.
Because the show debuted in 2007, there may not be much interest in this series. I also must say that there are a large amount of terrific recaps about this show out in the internet sphere already. Additionally, there is a Tudor Wiki that provides summaries of the show as well as other details. Read and critique then. That is fine by me. I welcome all comments.
